The Wood House @ Taman Indahpura, Kulai, Johor

The Wood House @ Taman Indahpura, Kulai, Johor

Came to The Wood House for an early dinner, before I depart to Singapore to face a stressful working week ahead. The Wood House running its business as a pub and bistro, therefore their menu base mainly on varieties of beer. We were here in the early evening, where the crowd for happy hour was definitely not there, neither us coming for happy hour, just with the hope for a decent quick dinner.
The exterior look of the cafe, the billboard is not attractive, don't you have the same thought? But the interior look and set up was quite nice, especially during the festive season of Christmas. Yet, we chose to have outdoor seat, so sorry for no shot for the interior look.
Mongolia Fish Fillet 蒙古鱼柳 RM12.90
Their food menu is rather limited, only few choices of fish and chips and chicken chop. We opts for the signature Mongolia fish fillet and salad chicken chop. Fish fillet come with a little portion of coleslaw and fries. The breaded fish fillet is showered with the Mongolia sweet and sour sauce.  Overall, it is quite appetizing with the sauce and some fruit dices on top, very refreshing.
Salad Chicken Chop 沙律鸡扒  RM12.90
Chicken chop comes with coleslaw, egg and fries. The presentation reminds me the Roti Spiderman of Murni SS2, by using the mayonies to decorate the dish. Despite the chicken chop looks heavy and oily, it is quite well done when I actually try a small bite. Crispy on the outside while soft, tender and juicy on the inside.

Overall, the food is good, but due to the limited choices offered by the cafe, I don't think I will re-visit. Hopefully the owner will provide and invent more dishes into the food menu.
