Bung Roon Halal Seafood @ Koh Lipe, Satun, Thailand

Bung Roon Halal Seafood @ Koh Lipe, Satun, Thailand

From my observation during my Koh Lipe trip to here, there were very few of truly Halal restaurant in this small island.  I saw most of the restaurant / cafe here were selling beer. Firstly, I was thinking all restaurant are  non-halal restaurant, but when I look closer on their menu, there were no pork at all in their food menu. I guess they're selling the beer as alternate beverage to their non-Muslim customer only upon request. Well, I did catch my eye on this Bung Roon Halal restaurant in Koh Lipe at the first night I arrived. Therefore, I get my BBQ dinner at here for a try during my second night.

Get myself a meal at the beach! Perfect sunset view!

I pick my own seafood, then they weighed it for pricing, bargain for cheap price and passed it to BBQ pit spot for BBQ. Beside BBQ, you also can have it on your style like steamed, deep fried, curry or raw. In my opinion, their beach front BBQ was my favorite. Recommend the best to you.

BBQ Fish   500bath
BBQ Prawn  300bath
BBQ Squid   150bath
Thai Papaya Salad (Som Tam)   100bath
Thai TomYum Seafood   150bath

This meal cost 1680bath (~RM168) for 6 of my family members. I can said that the price was slightly high, but I found its worth to pay for this delicious meal. Their BBQ seafood is really outstanding and awesome.
