Lot 10 Hutong 十号胡同 @ Lot 10 Shopping Center, Bukit Bintang, KL

Lot 10 Hutong @ Lot 10 Shopping Center, Bukit Bintang

Back to last month, my family was come over here for a short vocation. By right, its suppose to rephrase as shopping hours and food explorace. Most of the time, we were hang out at Pavilion and Sungai Wang. When come to dining hour, there always be a headache issue due to less choice on some restaurant in those shopping center. Therefore, it is the best to choose Lot 10 Hutong to dine in at Bukit Bintang area, because all of the branded food are in the same roof now, with air-conditioning and not longer label as "street food".

Lot 10 Hutong is a Malaysia’s first and only heritage destination that pays tribute to one of the best loved national treasures – good food and the art of local cuisines. A gourmet heritage village, Lot 10 Hutong offers 26 of the country’s best eateries that have survived the 2nd and 3rd generations. Each is hand-picked from the best of the best, distinguished by its all-time favourite signature dish.

Thye Hong Singapore Prawn Mee. Campbell Mini Popiah. Hor Weng Kei Wanton Mee. Soong Kee Beef Noodles. Ipoh Chicken Rice and Kum Leen Kei Fukien Mee are among some these national food treasures at Lot 10 Hutong. A track record that dates back at least 40 years and a brand identity that is instantly recognizable is the minimum criteria for any brand to be at Lot 10 Hutong.

Soong Kee Beef Noodles

Forgive me for forgotten to take those food I ate at that time. Be honestly, some of the food I tasted out is   really out of its original standard, but for some food the taste are still remain its quality from their own recipe. The one must stress out here is the pricing here are slightly higher from their origin stall price, maybe due to rental. Overall, I still like the concept of gather every good food in same roof. Its save my time, save my petrol and avoid terrify traffic in some area. I only will be back here for certain food.

Sakae Sushi 荣 @ Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya

Sakae Sushi 荣 @ Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya

Last week, I followed the crowd to the new launched Paradigm Mall, to discover good foods in the new mall. The Sakae Sushi is attracting my attention as it is just located at the main entrance of the mall. Sakae Sushi is not too new to me, but being heard that they just unveiled its new and improved menu. Being a brand that never shies away from innovation, Sakae Sushi once again wowed fans with an extensive selection of new offerings for 2012. I decided to give it a try.

Sakae Sushi merges the traditional elements and the modern and elegant facets of Japan's dynamic culture and ambience into their new outlet in Paradigm Mall, enables their customer to dine in with better ambience and environment.
The new and infamous Sakae Sushi outlet was full house on Saturday noon, proving the public's favourite and confidence to Sakae Sushi. Luckily the new outlet is big and spacious enough to accommodate the big crowd.

To facilitate a user-friendly dining experience, the order system now have been change from traditional touch screen menu into new iPad interactive menu. While that, the menu is conveniently divided into different sections, diners can take their picks from 21 sumptuous food categories ranging from Sakae's signature sushi, sashimi, appetisers, tempura, rice dishes, udon and soba noodle and more.
Lucky enough to meet their foggy moscott!! Super cute!!
Beside the usual green tea drinks, Sakae now had introduced few creative blends beverages like Kyuri Smoothie, Ninjin Smoothie and Kyoto Sunrise Smoothie to accompany your meals.
Happy Froggie  小荣蛙蛙  RM7.99
sushi rice with tuna mayo topped with candy Froggie

As for the little ones, they are not left out either with the new Kiddie picks. Oh yeah, I bet this is more than suitable to entertain my little girlfriend?
Kaisen Salad  海鲜沙拉  RM16.90
The meal started by Kaisen Salad, containing tantalisingly fresh servings of prawns, tuna flakes, snow crab leg and assorted vegetables served with creamy goma dressing. I was attracted by its colourful presentation at the first place, further indulged after having it. It is very refreshing and appetizing, the goma dressing is just right, the smell and the taste are not too strong, but sufficient to enhance the flavour.
Soft Shell Crab Maki  辣味软壳蟹卷  RM5.99
I am always delighted by their efforts in making the foods not only edible, but also presentable, it always increase my appetites. Soft Shell Crab Maki is a mouth-watering maki creation of crispy soft shell crab, sweet beancurb, sushi rice and spicy mayonnaise. I like the texture of the combination, the soft rice, chewy beancurb and crispy soft shell crab, all different textures in a maki. Fantastic!
Sakae Blossom 荣之花  RM9.99
To catch the tail of season of spring, Sakae is introducing this Sakae Blossom. Sakae Blossom is an intricately-designed roll of luscious grilled salmon, shrimp roe and mayonnaise on a delightful maki. I definitely fall in love with this dish, for their fresh salmon.
Inari Avocado Ebi  稻禾酪梨虾  RM7.99
The Inari Avocado Ebi is one of their creative innovation too. I truly enjoyed the succulent whole prawn mixed with delicious vegetables and salad dressing, wrapped in sweet beancurd skin. The avocado and fresh prawns contribute the colour of nature to the dish.
Hana Maki 鲑鱼花卷  RM9.99
Hana Maki is not new to Sakae Sushi lover, a popular dish since before! The flower rolls are beautifully crafted by the chef with delicate raw salmon petals and sushi rice centre topped with mayonnaise and a luxurious sprinkle of shrimp roe.
Ebi Crepe 黄金虾卷  RM5.99
Ebi Crepe is a surprise to me too. I am familiar with sweet Mille Crepe, but never tried Ebi Crepe before. Nevertheless, I like the luscious roll consisting of whole cooked prawn with assorted vegetables and mayonnaise wrapped in a light crepe layer.
Kaisen Pirikara Nabe  海鲜泡菜汤  RM24.90
Time for something hot to warm my stomach, Kaisen Pirikara Nabe is the best choice. A delectable hotpot with generous servings of prawns, cuttlefish, salmon, mushroom and assorted vegetables in flavourful kimchi soup. Despite I am not too fancy on Kimchi, but this soup with mild spiciness suit my taste bud well. The flavour from the sea furnishes the soup with some sweetness.
Hotate Mentaiyaki 香烤明太子扇贝  RM20.90
I always prefer scallop rather than oyster, by its refreshing taste. So, the succulent half shell scallops grilled with cod fish roe is put in my list of favourite too! Twist in some lemon juice to make it more nom-nomm.
A close up to my favourite Hotate Mentaiyaki!
Curry Udon  RM12.90
For udon lovers have the new Curry Udon to savour. I like Japanese Curry because it is always not spicy but with a little bit sweet from the chunks of potatoes and carrots. The thick broth sticks my every single noodles with the flavourful curry, thumb up!
Mochi (Assorted Flavours)  RM5.99
Dessert time! Started my sweet journey with Japanese Mochi, filled with red bean paste. I am glad that the filling is not too sweet.
(Front to Back) Goma Ice Cream  RM6.90
Matcha Ice Cream  RM5.90
Dragon Fruit Ice Cream  RM5.90
Passion Fruit Ice Cream  RM6.90
An exquisite finish awaits with luxurious dessert indulgences-- fruity flavours ice cream, matcha ice cream and goma ice cream. There are two types of fruity ice creams to choose from, the dragon fruit and passion fruit, both are very refreshing. The colours are derived naturally from the fruits itself, make it look attractive. The Goma Ice cream and Matcha ice cream are normally seen in most of the Japanese restaurant, the goma one is good with the hint of black sesame. The Matcha Ice Cream is highly recommended because it is very "Matcha", full with fragrance of tea and little bitterness.
Peach Jelly  RM3.99
I can't resist myself from taking it from the belt. The bright orangey colour is the main reason, make it so outstanding. The large pieces of peach flesh are a surprise for me! Taste good although it is manufactured by Marigold.
As a means of further rewarding its loyal customers, Sakae Sushi has also launched several promotions to commemorate the new menu. Newspaper readers can enjoy a special RM10 cash voucher valid with a minimum spend of RM25, with an additional free pink plate worth RM3.99 for Citibank cardholders. Facebook users will also be entitled to their share of freebies by joining the Sakae Sushi Facebook fan page and taking part in various fun contests.
