Its was a long time ago since my last time ate claypot chicken rice. Therefore, today i going to have my dinner around Taman Paramount at this famous claypot chicken rice. On my opinion, this claypot chicken is just over-rated, is out of my good expectation. By the way, This is truth, the portion is huge and so generous on putting ingredient.

Mirror Mirror @ GSC Mid Valley , KL

Mirror Mirror @ GSC Mid Valley , KL

Synopsis : One of the most beloved stories of all time is coming to life in the motion picture Snow White legend, Mirror Mirror. A fresh and funny retelling of the Snow White legend, Mirror Mirror features breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, a princess in exile, and Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts as the evil Queen who ruthlessly rules her captured kingdom. Seven courageous rebel dwarfs join forces with Snow White as she fights to reclaim her birthright and win her Prince in this magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences the world over. The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the Prince, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

Words : The "Snow White" is the childhood memory of most of us, yeah, and that is the main attraction for me to catch up this movie. The kind princess, handsome prince, cute dwarfs and the bad queen are all there, just the storyline is changed. The author definitely showed more mercy to the Snow White in this movie version, as she was not killed, she was not poisoned by apple. And the lesson of the story is almost the same, don't be blinded by wealth, vanity and beauty, only true love can change the world!

QQ SnowMix 雪花鲜 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong, Puchong

QQ SnowMix 雪花鲜 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong, Puchong

Shadowing the fever of Taiwanese desserts, we were going to hunt this QQ SnowMix at Puchong after having famous Yong Tau Fu nearby. Generally, QQ SnowMix has 2 branches located in Sri Petaling and Puchong respectively. The branch in Puchong is comparatively more spacious and can accommodate more customers.
The outlook of the shop. RM 1 looks attractive? Yeah, you can get a drink with RM 1 with any purchase of desserts during weekdays from 1pm - 8pm.
Outdoor seats and also smoking area.
Indoor seats with air-conditioned, looks colourful and cheerful. Indeed enlighten my Sunday afternoon.
The dessert items and prices are clearly listed out above the counter.
Besides desserts, QQ SnowMix also provides some Taiwan street snacks like Tempura, Taiwanese Salty Crispy Chicken, Taiwanese Egg and Chicken Roll, Let's check it out!
Tempura  RM5.90
Compared to the bigger and longer size one by Shihlin Street, QQ SnowMix rather makes the Tempura into shorter and biting size, much more handy i think. Quite nice to have it as snack while have a afternoon chat with friends, crispy and chewy!
Taiwanese Egg and Hotdog Roll  RM4.50
Taiwanese Style Fried Chicken  RM6.50
Taiwanese Sweet Potato Stick  RM2.50
Taiwanese Egg and Chicken Roll  RM5.50
Taipei Big Big Bowl  RM24.90
The biggest Taiwanese dessert with various topping i have ever seen. Normally, you will only get 3 toppings from Taiwanese Dessert Shop out there. But, you can have all toppings in a giant bowl in QQ SnowMix, 12 toppings in total. It is even comprised of three types of ices- grass jelly ice, taro ice and soya ice. Run out of ideas to have a special birthday celebration for your friend? This Big Big Bowl surely warranties him/her a big surprise!
Grass Jelly Ice + Taro Ice + Soya Ice + 12 Toppings
Best Seller Grass Jelly Ice Series  RM6.90
Taro Ice Series  RM6.50
I was attracted by the colours of the ice and a bit curious about the yellow colour layer. No prize for guessing ok. lol. The yellow colour layer on the top is actually Taiwanese pudding, with little aroma of fresh egg. The purple colour ice is taro ice, very rarely offered by other desserts house. A nice creation, taste and smell like ice cream.
Grass Jelly Ice Series  RM6.50
Sea Amber Jelly Ice + Pearl  RM6.90
This sea amber jelly ice will sure indulge lady customers! Very refreshing and cool. The jelly on the top is very smooth, the Gula Melaka's syrup gives some extra fragrant and a not excessive sweetness to the ice. Nice nice!
Lemon Jade Jelly Ice  RM5.50
I bet this is another lady-favourite-dessert. Lemon jade ice is sweet and sour in nature which always preferred by ladies. Once again, very refreshing one with the honey and lime juice.
Douhua Series + Pearl  RM4.90
This is the combination of fire and ice, lol. Ices on the top of a warm sweet beancurd, a creative one indeed.

Titanic In 3D @ GSC Mid Valley

Titanic In 3D @ GSC Mid Valley

“Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams.
And it was.  It really was...”
Synopsis: 84 years later a 100-year-old woman named Rose DeWitt Bukater tells the story to her granddaughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich on the Keldysh about her life set in April 10th 1912, on a ship called Titanic when young Rose boards the departing ship with the upper-class passengers and her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, and her fiance, Caledon 'Cal' Hockley. Meanwhile, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson and his best friend Fabrizio De Rossi win third- class tickets to the ship in a game. And she explains the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 in the morning.

The Story:
The action-packed romance of TITANIC unfolds against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic, perhaps the most famous ship in history. In 1912, Titanic became the largest moving object ever built, the pride and joy of the White Star Line of passenger steamships. She was supposed to be the most luxurious and forward-thinking liner of her era – the ultimate “dream ship” for crossing the seas before the age of aviation -- yet ultimately she carried over 1,500 people to their death in the ice cold waters of the North Atlantic on April 15th, 100 years ago.

The film’s journey on Titanic begins at the site of the ship’s watery grave, two-and-a-half miles under the Atlantic Ocean. Here, an ambitious fortune hunter (Bill Paxton) has come to plumb the treasures of the once-stately liner, only to bring to the surface a story left untold. The tragic ruins melt away to reveal the glittering palace of the ship at the very moment it prepares to launch on its maiden voyage from England.

Amidst the thousands of well-wishers bidding bon voyage, destiny has called two young souls, daring them to nurture a passion that will change their lives forever. Rose DeWitt Bukater (Academy Award® winner Kate Winslet) is a 17-year-old, upper-class American suffocating under the rigid expectations of Edwardian society who falls for a free-spirited young steerage passenger named Jack Dawson (Golden Globe winner and Academy Award® nominee Leonardo DiCaprio). Once he opens her eyes to the world that lies outside her gilded cage, Rose and Jack’s prohibited love begins a powerful mystery that will echo across the years to contemporary times. Nothing on earth can come between them -- not even something as unimaginable as the sinking of Titanic.

Words : I still remember this movie first show was during my primary school, was almost 15 years back. And, the movie is remained fresh to me. Honestly, I had watched this movie for so many times but never get bored of the storyline. It successfully brought me back to the historical moment before the sink of HER. Other than that, to see how grand and luxury living style of up-scale people, not to forget the third class passengers (they called them slave). It very embarrassing when she looking for "1st class life-saving boat" other than ordinary boat. I feel distracted when people classified themselves as the superior level. I hate this scenario of discrimination as the society always did that even nowadays.

Village Fish Head Noodle 渔村生虾鲍片鱼头米 @ Kota Damansara

This visit was unexpected case, as i suppose to be visit another dim sum shop, but i did not notice that that shop was taking reservation only for weekend customer. Therefore, i straight away head down Dataran Sunway for searching some good food. I notice this shop after a turning corner, and i knew that it was my choice for today. Their shop signboard was attracting me! "Shang Har, Abalone fish head noodles". Its was very new in my food diary.

Sliced Abalone & Fish Head Mee Hoon   RM8.50
Sliced of abalone not rubbery.
I feel abit disappointed on their fish head, as i thought it should be steamed rather than fried fish head. And its was not bad too actually.
Fresh Prawn & Fish Head Mee Hoon  RM15.50
Prawn is tasty, sweet and juicy! I like this soup base, it is rich of prawn essential.
Deep Fried Meatball  RM5
Deep fried with crushed bread pushing up the taste of this meatball. Although, I leave it for long time before eating, but i still can feel crunchy on its surface. Clak Clak!!

Wok Dish Way 步滋道小厨 @ Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Wok Dish Way 步滋道小厨@ Kota Damansara

Being tired and annoyed by heavy meaty meal, we were looking for lighter and healthier foods during the weekend. It reminds me of one traditional Hakka dish which full with vegetables-- Lei Cha. I was recommended to look out this Wok Dish Way which is famous with their Lei Cha from Johor.

Located at Kota Damansara, Wok Dish Way served a wide variety of tasty Chinese home cooked food, with Lei Cha (擂茶) as their signature dish. Having a traditional recipe passed down by the family generations in hand, you can surely get an authentic bowl of Lei Cha here. Their shop, named "BuZiDao" in Chinese, seems to have the homophonic of bu zhi dao (不知道/ don't know), making the shop much easier to be remembered. So next time when your friends ask what would you like to have for meal and you answer " Bu Zi Dao", then he/she will know where to bring you go -- that's BuZiDao (步滋道) or Wok Dish Way! =)

The Restaurant is clean and neat. The signboard on the wall is came from the owner and his friends' hands.
Ice Blended LeiCha  RM7.90
I bet this is the 1st Ice blended Lei Cha in Malaysia? I never thought of the soup can also be served as a drink. I dare myself to have a try on it and surprisingly, the drink is just alright, with the aroma of basil, mint and peanuts.
Special Drink  RM3.50
 Cincau+ Lemon+Longan+ pineapple
Special Drink with Blackcurrant  RM3.50
 Ribena+ Cincau+ Lemon+ Longan+ pineapple
Cincau Soy Bean  RM3.50
Ice Blended Red Bean  RM6.90
Ice Blended Cucumber Lemon  RM6.90
Ice Blended Peanut Milk  RM6.90
The traditional grindstone which is used for grinding the ingredients of Lei Cha.There are three types of rice for customers to choose from, namely brown rice, white rice and fried rice.
LeiCha (Brown Rice)  RM8.90
Pleasant by the whole bowl of vegetables, I even been told by the owner that the vegetables they served is cooked by way of steaming, instead of stir frying. Thus, it is totally oil-free and very healthy to consume.
LeiCha (White Rice)  RM7.90
I have tried many Lei Cha in Kuala Lumpur and PJ area, I found this to be the best and closest to the Johor flavour. Distinguished from the KL style Lei Cha which is a bit bitter, this one is extremely good and refreshing  with the aroma of basil and mints.
LeiCha Fried Rice  RM9.40
The Lei Cha fried rice is generated from the creativity of the chef. The rice is fried with the Lei Cha paste and eggs, which is more fragrant.
In case you still haven't knew how to eat a bowl of Lei Cha, this is the way to mix up all the vegetables, fried beancurd, dried radish and peanut. The traditional and correct way is to pour in some of the Lei Cha soup to eat together. But if you are a freshie to Lei Cha and cannot adapt yourself to the smell of the tea, you can eat it separately.
Special Pork Trotter in Vinegar  (RM11~RM30)
Hakka version of pork trotter in vinegar, which is less sour. The meat they used is not too fat and oily, suitable for all people.
Deep Fried Pork with Red Beancurd (RM8 ~ RM15)
Crispy and nice to have it as snack, it will be better if they provide beer to go along? On the consideration that the fried thingy would be oily, the chef put on sides the tomatoes and cucumbers to balance up the nutrition.
Mee Hun Kuey  RM6.90
The Johor styled pan mee, different from the middle and northern Malaysia pan mee, this mee hun kuey is totally and absolutely handmade, from rub the flour to tear it into pieces, all by hands. The mee hun kuey is much thicker than the machine-made one, and therefore it is more chewy and springy. By bringing in the taste and style from Johor, they are using "pucuk manis" instead of choy sum in the mee hun kuey. The soup is good and flavourful too after few hours boiled with beans and ikan bilis. If you want to have a bowl of authentic Johor mee hun kuey in Kuala Lumpur, this is the place where you can find it!
Crispy Fried Chicken  RM15
The chicken wings are well-marinated which give a hint of lemongrass aroma. I bet this dish also goes well with a cool beer.
Crispy Seaweed  RM7.90
Crispy deep-fried vegetable served with chicken floss.
Sweet & Sour Deep Fried Talapia  RM15~RM35
Talapia is new item in the menu. Apart from deep-fried, there are few cooking methods that the customers may choose from, such as steam with sauces.
Jiang Bao Dish  RM10
"jiang bao" means quick stir fried with sauce in Chinese. The cili padi is putted to add some moderate spiciness to the dish. It is best to go with a bowl of rice!
Special Cucumber  RM4
Cendol  RM6.90
A huge portion of cendol for two! The owner claimed that the gula melaka is made by them themselves and different from the one in market. How different? taste it then you will know it!
