Duck Egg Char Kuey Teow @ Jalan Kulim

As most of us know, Penang is food paradise in Malaysia,
one of the famous food is char kuey teow (Fried Kuey Teow).
The normal char kuey teow we get is comprised with fresh clams, leek,
Chinese sausage and definitely lard, to increase the fragrance.
But, the char kuey teow that i want to recommend today is much more special than the others.
No leek and no Chinese sausage, then u must ask: "what else in the char kuey teow?"
let's us take a look!!

The famous Char Kuey Teow in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
it located under a very significant Banyan tree.

The kuey teow is fried using the very traditional way, which using charcoal.
did you notice the signboard in front the stall?
the owner using "duck egg" instead of chicken egg to fry kuey teow. very special isnt??
Char Kuey Teow with Duck Egg ( RM3.50)
once again, the egg on the top is not a poached "chicken egg", but "duck egg"!
Did you try it before?
Duck Egg Char Kuey Teow ( RM2.50)
this one is without the pouched egg, but it is nice also, with plenty of fresh prawns and juicy tau geh.
and the price is also cheap and attractive, right??
it is rarely we can get a plate of nice food with RM2.50++.
char kuey teow lover definitely can miss out the chance to have a try on it ya.
